UGC issued a public notice regarding  Fake letter on Research Programs guidelines of 2016-17.

"It has come to the notice of the University Grants Commission that a letter bearing No. RP2016/190 dated 3rd October, 2016 is being used by Monad University, Hapur, Uttar Pradesh on the plea that they are following additional guidelines as conveyed by UGC through the aforesaid lefter.
 In this connection, it is informed that no such letter was issued by the University Grants Commission in the name of Monad University, Hapur (UP). Therefore, the letter under reference is a forged and fake, and shall not be given any effect for any purpose. UGC has already lodged a complaint bearing No. 14190 dated 30th March, 2017 with the Police this regard"
